Bio:

From a very early age, it was clear that Terril Sampson would be a man of extreme intelligence. His parents noted he had very good hand eye cordination and his father (a Veritech Pilot) took it upon himself to teach Terril the fundamentals for the handling of firearms. In school, Terril showed an apptitude for all things mechanical and electrical.

Terril decided to follow in the footsteps of his father in the protection of the Earth and his fellow man. Terril scored one of the highest scores ever for the UEEF entry examination. Terril was selected for the academy and went to training first as a combat engineer and then later he was accepted into the training program for the special forces.

Upon his completion at the academy and the various training schools, Terril joined the 232nd special operations company which is a part of the 27th Jupiter Division. Terril and the other special operators within the 232nd company were trained to do the following:

1. Evaluation of enemy fortifications in advance of large scale assault.
2. Evaluation of enemy mecha and vehicles in strength and numbers.
3. enact surgical strikes upon enemy fortifications and units that may pose an iminant threat to air power or the landing of infantry carrying shuttles.
4. establish landing zones for shuttlecraft associated with the inital assaults of infantry.
5. provide temporary cover of thouse same shuttle landing zones as the shuttlecraft were landing.
6. special missions as necessary after the landing of the main assault forces.

Terril with his skills was trained to perform several additional roles within the 232nd -

A. With the Beta unit’s internal bomb bay, act as a transport for the small amounts of supplies
or personel that the 232nd took with them.
B. Provide emergency repair services to the Mecha of the 232nd.
C. Provide close in air support as necessary to the 232nd. (this role is VERY limited as the
aircraft could be spotted thus giving away the position of the unit)
D. With the strength of the Beta Unit, clear rocks, trees, and other debris from landing zones.

Terril’s role within the 232nd means that he thinks of his mecha more as a small shuttle and battleoid that can fight in the air when absolutely necessary. He does not think of himself as a true fighter pilot that the fly boys in the Alphas in general are.
